Carts are multi purpose. They can be used for any kind purpose for any kind of industry. You can find them in schools, libraries, restaurants, churches, offices, warehouses, even homes. Utility carts can make any lifting job easy and, well, light.

Carts: Uses and Benefits

There are several types of carts available in the market. They each serve a different purpose and have different benefits.

  1. Traditional Carts – These are used for transporting items that are heavier or bigger. They come in 2-, 3-, or 4-wheel models. They can also come fitted with drawer units for storage.   2. Plastic – These utility wagon carts can be used for storing and transporting smaller items. They are durable, portable, lightweight, and come in a variety of sizes and weights. They have castor wheels which are typically lockable as well as handles for easy movement.

  3. Dinner Trolley – If you want to move food items at restaurants, you will need a dinner trolley. It is like a regular metal cart; only it is specifically made for moving food, saving you many trips to the kitchen. They also help reduce breakage of plates and other items.

Before You Buy: Things to Consider

Utility wagon carts come in different variations and with different features. Here are some of the things you should consider before you buy one.

  • Weight Capacity – What items will you be transporting?

  • Purpose – What will the cart be used for? This will help you determine the size you need.

  • Shelf Configuration – Will the cart be used to store items, as well? If it will, one with a drawer or with organizers might do the trick.

  • Material – Choose a material that are durable and preferably stain-resistant.

  • Wheels – This is, arguably, the most important part of a rolling cart. Ideally, choose swivel wheels that can be locked in place for safety.
